Real - Best of "OTR - Achieving Mental Health for Real" Part 1

Best of OTR-Achieving Mental Health for Real and also the 100th episode of the show. This is part one and covers the first half of 2020. The rest of the year will be in part two which premiers on the last week of September. This installment covers top rated show including Brett Steven’s episodes for the Book Crossover. Also clips from Gigi Langer with “50 ways to worry less now”

Note: The whooshing sound you hear begins the next clip.

Also included are clip from another favorite Garage Talk Talks and the popular episode on Apple “Angela” about a remarkable young women Angela Angela Cristadoro who is restricted to a wheelchair with moebius Syndrome yet periveers and has a quality of life. Its difficult to understand her because of her issue but well worth it.

Bill Macphee talks about his struggle with which might be the cruelist afflication of all Schizophrenia. Yet through the help of medicine lead a Quality life now.

And my favorite interview of all from “Dyslexia – Fighting Back” with my oldest son Brian who rose above the inflection to become head paster at a Christian church. He talk about his attitude and adjustments he took fighting back at Dyslexia.

The beginning has one of the first interviews I had on the show with Mike Sheehan in ”Garage Talk Talks.

This was all I could fit in part 1 in a little over an hour. Part two will have the rest of 2020 and 2021 and there will be shorter clips. I just wanted to highlight these first episodes, since many people might have missed them way back when and except for the sound are some of the best of OTR (over the rainbow).

I have some great Guests for season 10 which will begin in January and will be our greatest season. The show will be leaning towards more ADHD, bi polar and ptsd as well as continuing coverage for all other mental health conditions.

As you may know OTR will have its own patreon site so our community can come together. In Lieu of commercials, I am trying A Premium package for just 34 dollars a year or $2.99 a month, which will include transcripts of all the shows including the three parts of Real – OTR “best of” plus many other perks. As I said in the first clip of Garage talk talks, I was scared to come out with my full name. I am scared no more, and I encourage others, If safe, to come out and join the community. I would love any feedback at all. Everyone will have access whether you sign up for the Premium package or not.

But in order to keep things going I am going to need some help. Even, anything, you can contribute to my GoFundMe site. I will be publishing all about the Premium package sometime in September.

Our listeners keep growing and I am looking forward to the next five seasons. I will not stop until the world gets to join our mission. As long as I can, I will be learning and learning about what can help us all and lead us to a new better world.

Robert Adleman

I am a 64-year-old male with ADHD, OCD, severe depression, severe  anxiety, and dyslexia. I struggled for 40 years working in the high-pressured Information technology field. Even though it was good money, I didn't have much luck in the financial department.
In 1991, at the age of 33, was when the severe anxiety attack occurred, and the support system was not there to handle it. So, I checked myself in to a mental hospital in Piscataway, NJ. That started my long road to recovery. After the attack, I was severely depressed and anxious for 6 months. This experience is detailed in episode four "Beating Severe Anxiety/Depression".
